Chelonian Research Institute
Dr. Peter Pritchard's CRI has the most diverse collection of chelonians in the world. ASPin-situCC participants have been welcome to the CRI since 2001. Dr. Pritchard has collaborated with several past ASPin-situCC participants in their countries on reserach and conservation projects.
Cape May County Benefit Motorcycle Poker Run For The Turtles
Karen and Charlie Buckley have the most 'out of the shell' community based conservation project in the United States. ASPin-situCC participants are lucky to be able to help with this annual one day event. My UTC project focuses on riverine turtles of the Tennessee River. The graduate and undergraduate students working in my laboratory are using descriptive, comparative, and experimental studies to answer questions about the population and community ecology of riverine turtles in the Tennessee River Gorge.
